The Tullis-Smith Photo Album of Danville, Illinois

This entire issue is devoted to an album of photos from the 1860’s and 1870’s that belonged to the family of Mary Jane “Jennie” Tullis and her husband Martin Luther Smith. The album contains over 50 photos, all of which are reproduced here. Many of the photos are of Jennie’s siblings and their spouses, including William H. Tullis and his wife Sarah Jane “Sadie” Malone, George W. Tullis and his wife Hortense Johnson, and Samuel B. Tullis and his wife Bridget Cordelia Shea. These Tullises were all children of Jesse H. Tullis, Jr., and his first wife, Lydia Ann Mintonye. For reference purposes, a listing of the children of Jesse Tullis and their spouses is provided below:
