“Georgia Tullis”: This is the only Tullis in the album that I have not been able to place. It appears likely that she may have been a daughter of William, George, or Samuel who did not live to adulthood.

“Lydia Smith”: Lydia was a daughter of Martin L. Smith and Jennie Tullis. She was born in 1872 and died in 1874.

“Mary C. Smith”: Mary was probably the mother of Martin L. Smith. Based on census records, she was born about 1816 in Pennsylvania. She and her husband, Samuel C. Smith, and their family, including Martin, are found in the 1850 census in Turtle Creek Township, Warren Co, Ohio. The family also appears in the 1860 census in Springfield, Sangamon Co, IL. In the 1870 census, she still appears in Springfield, but in a household headed by her son, Samuel C. Smith, Jr.
