The back of the photo above indicates it was taken in Lebanon, OH, and a revenue stamp places it in the time period of 1864-1866. M. L. Smith was born near Lebanon, so this could be a relative of his-- perhaps a sister.

These two photos (above) appear on facing pages in the album, perhaps indicating they were a couple. The backs of both photos indicate they were taken by A. D. Willis, Washington Hall, Crawfordsville, Indiana.
