Tullys (1989). In this installment, we focus on the fourth child of Richard
Tullis and Rachel Barrett, Benjamin Franklin Tullis. Sadly, he died in
the Civil War.

Part 7: Albert Richardson Tullis and Family

This is the seventh installment of extracts from the book The Richard
Tullis Family of Columbiana County, Ohio by Carolyn Miller and Patricia
Tullys (1989). In this installment, we focus on the fifth child of Richard
Tullis and Rachel Barrett, Albert Richardson Tullis (pictured on the
cover) and his family. Albert married Kezia Jane Tritt and they had
seven children: Hester, James Harvey, Hannah Jane, Matilda M., Mary Nell,
John Alvin, and Isabelle. Includes a listing
of known descendants.
Amos E. Tullis, Inventor

Provides information about Amos Edward Tullis (1860-1937) who patented
a special type of air-cushioned artificial leg and operated an artificial
limb company in Minneapolis, MN, for many years. He married Madeline Burgess
and they had three children: Frances Lauretta, Charles F., and Ernest
Albert. Amos was a son of Lewis Franklin Tullis (abt. 1829 - abt. 1895),
who served in the Civil War for the Union Army. Includes census
records and family photos.

Presents the story of David Tulles, a veteran of the War of 1812, successful
businessman, Justice of the Peace, member of the Ohio Legislature, Lutheran
minister, husband, and father. He married Elizabeth Secrest and they had
twelve children: Jehu John, Mary, Sarah, Catherine, Susannah,
John, Perry, Maria, Elizabeth, Lavina, Rachel D., and David H. Davids
mother was Susanna McIlwee (McElwee), but his father is unknown.
