This entry about the marks used by Robert Tullis is from the “Clerk’s Ear Mark Book / Early Records”, page 17, Salem County Courthouse Map Room, New Jersey. It contains descriptions and drawings of the ear marks used to identify the owners of “cattle and swine”. Although not dated, some of the other entries place this in the early 1700’s.
